City to hold food truck fundraiser for parks 12 July 2019

From Columbia City Hall

On Friday, July 12, 2019 food trucks from throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky will be coming to Columbia for an event to be held in the city parking lot just across the street from City Hall at the corner of Campbellsville Street and Merchant Street.

The parking lot will be blocked off on Thursday afternoon. Anyone with vehicles is encouraged to have them moved by 4pmCT.

Proceeds from the event will be going to purchase handicapped accessible equipment for Columbia city parks. For further information, please contact City Hall at 270-384-2501.

Jordy, the shy little actress

Seven-year-old Jordy Marr became a tad nervous within the crowd while waiting for her dinner to be served at the first "Truck it Up" event downtown. She was joined by big brother Jayden and parents Jody & Christy Marr. Her mother assured this photographer that Jordy was not typically timid at all and in fact has stated that she wants to be an actress when she grows up.

Downtown event a good time to visit with neighbors

The Friday evening downtown event was a time to catch up with fellow neighbors. Gerald and LaVerne Reliford, seated, had finished eating at the Food Truck event and ran into friend Darla Burris.
