Sharalyn Jenise Whitley, 48, Campbellsville, KY (1971-2019)

Everyone who met her loved her and she always wanted a hug from everyone she met.

Sharalyn "Shara" Jenise Whitley of Campbellsville passed away on Friday, June 28, 2019. She was 48 years old.

A celebration of life will be held at 11amET on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home, 418 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, KY, officiated by Pastor Wayne Qualls, Rev. Earl West and Bro. Robert Boston. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 5pmET until 8pmET on Friday, July 5, 2019 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.


Sharalyn "Shara" Jenise Whitley of Campbellsville was born on June 2, 1971. She died at 8:45 A.M., Friday, June 28, 2019 in Campbellsville. Age: 48.

She was preceded in death by her dad, the late Rev. Charles "Lanny" Whitley.

Shara professed faith in Christ and was a member of Faith Covenant Ministries where she loved to sing and praise God. She was a "girlie girl" - always wanting to wear dresses and necklaces, carrying her bags and purse where ever she went. She loved to party and dance. Shara loved going out to eat and McDonald's was her favorite. Everyone who met her loved her and she always wanted a hug from everyone she met. Shara loved her family and truly was a daddy's girl.

Shara will be lovingly remembered by her mothers, Diane Robinson Whitley and Susan Smith Burress, and her sisters Becky Lockhart and husband, Dana, (their daughter Bea) and Melissa Hunter (her sons Micah, Asher, and Nate). Shara will also be fondly remembered by her paternal grandmother, Korine Whitley, aunts and uncles Greg Whitley and wife, Gayle, Todd Whitley and wife, Trisha, Bill Robinson and Bonnie Collins and husband, Jeff. Special friend Pam Fisher, along with many cousins and friends will warmly remember Shara and the joy she shared with everyone throughout her life.

Expressions of sympathy requested to be donations to Hosparus of Green River or Crusade for Children and may be made at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home.
