Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Tue 11 June 2019

Indictments brought against 11 individuals from Columbia, Greensburg, and Danville, KY, on charges including possession, theft, fraud, rape, and DUI.

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 11 June 2019:

  • Leonard Gerard Smith, 199 Ralph Hadley Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00111. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of marijuana. Count 4 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08 (aggravating circumstance), 1st offense. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Laramy J. Conover, 94 Joe Conover Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00112. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree. Count 4 - Possession of marijuana. Count 5 - Possession of a defaced firearm. Count 6 - Defacing a firearm. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Angela Sue Rhymer, Hindman St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00113. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree. Count 4 - Possession of marijuana. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Dustin C. Shofner, Milby St., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00114. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine, firearms enhanced. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., .08, 1st offense. Count 4 - License to be in possession. Count 5 - Reckless driving. Count 6 - Improperly on left side of road. Arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Cody Gadberry, Fairplay Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00115. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol/drugs/etc, .08, 1st offense. Bail set at $1,500 cash blanket w/MCR, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Cody Gadberry, Fairplay Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00116. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense. Count 2 - Possession of marijuana. Blanket bond w/19-CR-115, bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Terry Lynn Noe, Casey Station Dr., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00117. Charged with 3 counts. Coutn 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Alcohol intoxication in a public place. Bail set at $1,500 cash, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Michael Dewayne Corbin, Mitchell St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00118. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Trafficking in a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, <2g methamphetamine. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $10,000 cash, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Terry L. Ervin, Allen St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00119. Charged with 4 counts. Count 1 - Defrauding a secured creditor, more than $10,000. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Arson, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bail set at $10,000 cash, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Thomas I. Pennington, Silver Creek Dr., Danville, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00120. Charged with 2 counts. Count 1 - Rape, 3rd degree. Count 2 - Rape, 3rd degree. Bail set at $20,000 cash, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Majid F. Alshaheen, Montpelier Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00121. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 2nd offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 3 - Prescription controlled substance not in original container, 1st offense. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.

  • Becky McClintock, Paul St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00122. Charged with 6 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree 1st offense. Count 3 - Possession of a controlled substance, 2nd degree. Count 4 - Possession of a controlled substance, 3rd degree. Count 5 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 6 - Theft by unlawful taking/disposition, under $500. Bail set at $1,500 cash w/MCR, arraignment 6/25/2019 at 9amCT.
