Billy Gosser, 83, Russell Springs, KY (1936-2019)

He was a farmer, a Veteran of US Army and a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church.

Billy Gosser of Russell Springs, died Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the Russell County Hospital. He was 83 years old.

The funeral service for Billy Gosser will be held at 10amCT on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Joe Gosser officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery on Gosser Ridge.

Visitation is requested from 5pmCT until 8pmCT on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, and after 8amCT on Wednesday until the funeral time at 10amCT.


He was born April 18, 1936 in Russell County to the late Oscar & Patra Wilson Gosser.

He was a farmer, a Veteran of US Army and a member of Pine Grove United Baptist Church.

Survivors include
  • His wife: Mary Gosser, Russell Springs
  • Two sons: Stephen Gosser, Russell Springs, Jonathan (Jane) Gosser, Russell Springs
  • A granddaughter: Bailey Gosser
  • A brother: Donnie (Anna) Gosser, Elizabethtown, Ky
  • Two sisters: Fern (Larry) Luttrell, Morgantown, W.VA, and Ruth Ann (Bruce) Ipe, Wilton, Conn.
The family requests contributions of sympathy be made to the Pine Grove Cemetery on Gosser Ridge. These can be made at the funeral home.
