Blinkhorn earns NAIA All-America Team honors

By Chris Wells

Callum Blinkhorn has been named to the NAIA Men's Golf All-America Team, NAIA officials announced on Thursday. Blinkhorn is one of 15 men to be named to the first team. Forty-five golfers are named to three different teams.

The All-America honor is the second straight for Blinkhorn, who earned third-team honors last season. During the 2018-19 season, Blinkhorn had the best single season in the program's history.

Blinkhorn averaged 71.03 strokes per round in 30 rounds this season. The season average is the top single-season average in the program's history. During his two seasons, Blinkhorn is averaging 71.58 strokes per round -- also tops in the program's history.

His six wins and 21 rounds of par or better during the year are also single-season records.

Blinkhorn earned Mid-South Conference Men's Golfer of the Year honors during the season. He finished the year narrowly missing the cut at the NAIA National Championship by one stroke.

Blinkhorn joins Ramus Lind as the only two Blue Raiders in the program's history to earn NAIA All-America Team honors. Both Blue Raiders have earned the honor twice.
