Wolfart qualifies for German Swimming National Championship

Ron Wolfart of the Lindsey Wilson swim team recently competed at the International Sindelfingen Swimming Championship where he faced competitors from Germany, Austria, Northern Macedonia and the United States.

The native of Bad Mergenteim, Germany qualified for the German Open Age Championships in the 100 freestyle after touching the wall in 55.16 seconds. He finished in 13th of 130 competitors.


Wolfart also competed in the 50 breaststroke where he turned in a third-place finish out of 68 swimmers with a time of 30.72 to narrowly miss the qualifying mark by 0.17 seconds. In the qualifying heat, he placed second with a time of 30.71.

The Lindsey Wilson rising sophomore also competed in the 50 freestyle where his time of 25.44 gave him a 14th place finish against 132 participants.

The German National Championship is scheduled to be held on August 1-4.
