Bolton finishes tied for 46th at NAIA Golf National Championship By Christopher Coombs Oklahoma City, OK - Dacie Bolton shot a 9-over par 81 during the final day of competition at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship Tournament on Friday at the Lincoln Park Golf Club. She finishes the event with a four-day total 305 (77-74-73-81) in a tie for 46th place at 17-over par for the tournament. It is Bolton's best collegiate finish at the national championship after missing out on the cut at least year's national championship event as a sophomore. Bolton struggled out of the gate, recording a triple bogey on her second hole of the day on the 350-yard par four tenth hole. The Blemish was just the second time for the championship she had recorded a score worse than bogey. She then bogeyed the par five 16th hole before recording her only birdie of the day on the par four 17th to finish her first nine at three over par. After making the turn, Bolton would record six bogeys and three pars to finish the championship at 17-over par. Bolton managed to shoot 39 pars and 10 birdies across her four rounds at the national tournament. She played the par threes at three-over par, tied for the 21st best mark in the field, and would score a seven-over par mark on the par fours. British Columbia captured the team title after shooting a 23-over par score of 1,175 strokes. Michela Tjan of Keiser (Fla.) took home the individual crown after scoring a 4-under par score across the four rounds. This story was posted on 2019-05-18 06:20:00
