Juanita Charlotte Hodges, 81, Greensburg, KY (1937-2019)

She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant for Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Life Line Home Health, a private caregiver and a wonderful nanny.

Juanita Charlotte Scott Hodges passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her residence. She was 81 years old.

The funeral services for Mrs. Hodges will be conducted at 11amCT on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Bro. Larry Wisdom and Bro. Brad Davis will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Monday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT on Tuesday until time of the funeral service.


Mrs. Juanita Charlotte Scott Hodges of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Ervin Moss Scott and Thelma Rafferty Scott, was born on June 12, 1937 in Green County, and departed this life on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at her residence in Green County, Kentucky. She was 81 years, 10 months and 29 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant for Jane Todd Crawford Hospital, Life Line Home Health, a private caregiver and a wonderful nanny.

She united in marriage to Howard Thomas Hodges, Jr. on December 31, 1954 who preceded her in death by March 20, 1970.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: David and Wanda Hodges of Summersville, Danny and Sharon Hodges of Campbellsville; three grandchildren: Chasity and Keith Jewell of Greensburg, Daniel Thomas Hodges of Lawrenceburg, Ashley Brooke and Josh Bennett of Columbia; five great-grandchildren: Zach Jewell, Kayden Bennett, Carrington Jewell, Kaylence Bennett, and Kobie Bennett; a brother and sister-in-law: David Wayne and Dorothy Scott of Summersville; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Todd and Mary Jean Gardner of Greensburg, Marjorie Bale of Campbellsville, Sarah Hodges of Greensburg, Jerry and Judy Reash of Florida; special caregivers: Janet Wright Retirement Home and Staff; a very very special friend: Miss Odell Bell of Summersville and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hodges was also preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law: Edward and Mavis Scott.

Memorials are suggested to the Pleasant Valley Cemetery Fund or the Hosparus of Green River, which can be made at the funeral home.
