Carol Sue Vest Terry, 68, Liberty, KY (1950-2019)

Carol was a former manager for Family Dollar Store. She was an avid wrestling fan and faithful viewer of The Young and the Restless. Carol also enjoyed going to yard sales. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol Sue Vest Terry of Liberty, Kentucky passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. She was 68 years of age.

A memorial service will be held at 7pmET on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Brother Ricky Hogue officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5pmET until 7pmET on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at the funeral home.


Born August 11, 1950, in Casey County Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Joe and Wilma Hogue Vest.

Carol was a former manager for Family Dollar Store. She was an avid wrestling fan and faithful viewer of The Young and the Restless. Carol also enjoyed going to yard sales. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Jimmy Terry of Liberty, whom she wed December 19, 1984; one son, Robby Lee of Liberty; two daughters, Pam (Jimmy) Lee of Liberty, and Billie Jo Cox of Tennessee; a daughter-in-law, Jackie Lee of Liberty; two special grandchildren that she raised, Perry (Shawnee) Lee of Bethelridge, and Todd Lee of Liberty. Carol is also survived by four grandchildren, David Lee, Marisa Lee, Kalyn Lee, and Jonathan Lee; three great-grandchildren, Riley Price, Evie Lee, and Lucas Lee; and one brother, Larry Hogue (Linda) of Liberty.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by one son, Mike Lee; one daughter, Bobbie Jo Terry; one sister, Peggy Witt; and one daughter-in-law, Alisha Lee.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
