Travelling I-65? Watch for slowdowns this week

By Chris Jessie

Anyone travelling I65 in the next few evenings should be aware of some lane closures that will likely slow traffic:
  • Monday Night: Southbound I-65 pavement repair will require closure of two lanes today, Monday, May 13, 2019, between Mile Markers 97 and 95 (this will be in the truck climbing lane section approaching Elizabethtown). Work should be complete by 5pmET. Two of the four lanes will remain open at all times.

  • Mon-Thu Night: Tonight, May 13 thru Thursday night, May 16, 2019, there will be various lane closures between Mile Markers 91 and 97 in both directions. Work will begin each night at 7pmET and should be complete by 6amET the following morning. Traffic will be reduced to one lane at times.

  • Tue Night: The most impactful closure will be on Tuesday night, May 14, 2019. Settling pavement will be repaired in both directions at Nolin River Bridges near Mile Marker 83. Work will take place on the same schedule of 7pmET to 6amET. Traffic will be reduced to one lane both directions for this work.
