Bessie Marie Cain Grider, 84, Casey County, KY (1934-2019) Bessie Marie Cain Grider, of Liberty, KY passed away on Friday, May 10, 2019, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital. She was 84. The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT/2pmET on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Vest, Bro. Cameron Cain, and Bro. Shannon Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 6-9pmET on Saturday, May 11, 2019. Born on September 12, 1934, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Coy and Eva Lee Maupin Cain. Bessie was a cook and custodian at Liberty Elementary School. She was a member of Cowden's Chapel Church of God. Bessie loved to read, enjoyed working in the yard, and attending the Friday Night Car Shows in Liberty. There was never a dull moment when she was around. Bessie truly loved her family, her friends, and her church. She is survived by her daughter, Shanda (Troy) Sanders of Liberty; two sisters, Essie Haste of Indianapolis, Indiana and Linda Roy of Liberty; and two brothers, Freddie Cain of Yosemite and Larry (Brenda) Cain of Liberty. She was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Grider, who passed away on November 14, 2006; a sister, Dora Asbury; and a brother, Bennie Cain.
