Summer Shade Founder's Day, Sat 11 May 2019 By Gaye Shaw The kick off for the 2nd Annual Summer Shade Founder's Day on Saturday May 11th will include a ribbon cutting for Dale Estes & Chris Silber, owners of Summer Shade Antiques & Recycling, located at 2580 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY. The ceremony will start at 10amCT, conducted by the Edmonton Metcalfe County Chamber of Commerce. Summer Shade is on Highway 90, between Eighty Eight and Beaumont, in the Glasgow-Burkesville Metropolitan Corridor. Summer Shade Antiques & Recycling is in the building that was fondly known as Frank McMurtrey's Garage for many years. Dale & Chris have a variety of unique antiques and will accept any metal for recycling. At the Ribbon Cutting, they will have free t-shirts and serve free hot dogs and drinks.
