LWC Men's golf in 3rd after 1st round of MSC Tournament

Bowling Green, KY - The Lindsey Wilson men's golf team sits in third place of the Mid-South Conference tournament after finishing the first round at 20-strokes over par. Callum Blinkhorn shot the low round of the day as he carded a 1-under par round to sit in a tie for first place.

Cumberland (TN) is in first place at 13-over par as Campbellsville University is in second at 16-over. The second round is slated to begin on Tuesday morning at 8amCT.


Blinkhorn carded three birdies over his first five holes after shooting a three under par front nine but would card three bogeys and one birdie on the back side to card 71 strokes on the par 72, 6,751 yard Bowling Green Country Club.

Callum Burns and Etienne Rensburg managed to shoot 5-over par rounds on the day as they finished in a tie for tenth place. Both Burns and Rensburg tallied one birdie and six bogeys on the day.

Morgan Grace sits in a tie for 31st place after shooting an 83 as Cody Mingus is in 36th place after an 86 stroke round.

Steven McGowan competed at the tournament as an individual and carded a 79 to finish the round in a tie for 20th place.
