Ivalee Short Hurt, 84, Celina, TN (1934-2019) Mrs. Ivalee (Short) Hurt of Celina, Tennessee, formerly of the Red Banks Community in Cumberland County, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at Celina Health and Rehab Center in Celina, Tennessee, having attained the age of 84 years, 4 months, and 14 days. The funeral service will be conducted on Friday, April 26, 2019, at 2pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main St, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Tommy Watson officiating. Burial will be in the Poplar Grove Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 2pmCT on Thursday, April 25, until the funeral hour on Friday. She was born in Littrell, Kentucky on Sunday, December 9, 1934, the daughter of Willie Porter and Alma (Sharp) Short. She was of Church of Christ faith, a member of Hickory Grove Church of Christ, and a factory worker for Link-Belt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Eugene "Big Joe" Hurt, maternal grandparents, A. O. and Mama Sharp, paternal grandparents, Hunter and Mammie Short, and nephew, Charlie Grider. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Willie Mae and James Long, special nephews, Jimmy Long (Linda Phillips) and Gary Long, special niece, Shelia Grider, godchild, Jessica Grider (A. J.), great-niece, Lindsey (Jeff) Huff, great-nephew, Wesley (Whitney) Long, all of Burkesville, Kentucky, great-great-niece, Bella Mae, great-great-nephews, Braxton Long, Hudson Long, Henley Huff, several members of the Hurt family and other relatives and friends.
