Evelyn Faye Henderson Wright, 90, Greensburg, KY (1929-2019)

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, attended the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, and was a homemaker.

Mrs. Evelyn Faye Henderson Wright of Greensburg, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She was 90 years old.

The funeral services for Mrs. Evelyn Faye Henderson Wright will be conducted at 10amCT on Saturday, April 20, 2019 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S. Main St., Greensburg, KY, with burial to follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery. Bro. Charlie Taylor will be officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4pmCT until 8pmCT on Friday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT on Saturday until time of the funeral service.


Mrs. Evelyn Faye Henderson Wright of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Charles Henderson and Linnie Paxton Henderson, was born on Wednesday, March 20, 1929 in Green County and departed this life on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Jane Todd Crawford Hospital. She was 90 years and 27 days of age.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ, attended the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, and was a homemaker.

She united in marriage to Ernest Wright on February 17, 1951 who preceded her in death on May 1, 1997.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Garry and Paula Wright of Mississippi; two daughters and sons-in-law: Karen and Glenn Williamson of Buffalo, and Connie and Robert Paxton of Greensburg; six grandchildren and their spouses: Anne and Steve Voyles, Cara and Daniel Cox both of Tennessee, Andy and Allison Williamson of Bowling Green, Eric and Melissa Williamson of Hodgenville, Daniel and Valerie Paxton of Louisville, and Lindsey Paxton of Bowling Green; 11 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Elijah, Madelyn, Savannah, Jacob, Ava, Abi, Anna, Cade, Maddox, and Charlie; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Wright was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters: Ethridge Henderson, Laverne Yarberry, and Dixie Henderson.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, which can be made at the funeral home.

Pallbearers: Larry Lemons, Jeff Kelly, Jerry Kelly, John Yarberry, Roger Henderson, Scott Humphrey, Howard Moore.
