LWC Women's Tennis beats Campbellsville 7-2 By Chris Wells Lindsey Wilson women's tennis remained perfect in the Mid-South Conference with a 7-2 win over visiting Campbellsville (KY) today at Henry Baughman Tennis Complex. The Blue Raiders (4-1, 2-0 in the MSC) opened the match with a pair of wins -- one in doubles and one in singles -- after Campbellsville did not have a sixth player. Lucia Mora and Steffi McDonald won the first competition of the day beating Alabina Zaganjor and Rebeca Scurt 8-2 in the second-seeded doubles match. Campbellsville (6-4, 2-1) avoided the doubles sweep as Bolor Enkhbayar and Brenda Aguilar upset 17th-ranked Alexandra Parra and Lina Sachica 8-5 in the top doubles match. Following Lindsey Wilson's default win in the singles match, Sachica -- ranked No. 29 in the NAIA -- extended the Blue Raiders' lead to 4-1 with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Enkhbayar in the second-seeded match. McDonald closed out the team win for Lindsey Wilson with a 6-2, 6-4 win over Zaganjor in the third-seeded match. Carla Alibert and Mora each picked up wins during singles play. Alibert dropped just one game in the fifth-seeded match while Mora won her match in a superset after splitting the first two sets. Lindsey Wilson returns to action at 2pmCT on Thursday, as the Blue Raiders host Georgetown (KY) at Baughman Tennis Complex, 401 Spickard Dr., Columbia, KY.
