LWC tennis hosts Campbellsville and Georgetown this week By Benjamin Riegger The Lindsey Wilson men and women's tennis teams host Campbellsville (KY) and Georgetown (KY) on Wednesday and Thursday, March 27-28. They hit the court on Wednesday, March 27 against Campbellsville at 1pmCT, followed by Georgetown on Thursday, March 28 at 2pmCT at the Henry Baughman Tennis Complex, 401 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. The match with Campbellsville was scheduled for Monday but due to weather in the Columbia area, it was moved back to Wednesday. Seasonal rains have caused four matches to be postponed this year for the Blue Raiders as the match with Mid-South Conference foe Campbellsville serves as the 2019 home opener for Lindsey Wilson. Men's tennis (2-2, 1-0 MSC) return to action after defeating Martin Methodist (Tenn.) 7-2 on Saturday afternoon. They opened their season falling to Reinhardt (Ga.) and No.1-ranked Georgia Gwinnett in February. The Blue Raiders opened Mid-South Conference play with a victory over Cumberlands (KY) 6-3 last week. Women's tennis (3-1, 1-0 MSC) return to action after defeating Martin Methodist 5-4 on Saturday afternoon. Women's tennis opened their season defeating Reinhardt 8-1 while suffering a loss to No.1-ranked Georgia Gwinnett 9-0. The Blue Raiders then opened MSC play with a victory over Cumberlands 6-3.
