Jetha enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and working on cars.

Jetha J. Dunbar of Nancy, KY died Saturday, March 23, 2019 at his home. He was 82 years old.

The funeral service for Jetha Dunbar will be held at 10amCT on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Billy Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in the Salem Cemetery.

Visitation is requested from 6pmCT until 8pmCT on Wednesday and 8amCT on Thursday until funeral time at 10amCT.


He was born September 23, 1936 in Russell County to the late Leslie Monroe & Theola Johnson Dunbar.

He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of Jabez Christian Home in Jabez, KY.

Jetha enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and working on cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Ashbrook Dunbar; 2 brothers, Leland & Shillard Dunbar; a sister, Darlene Foley.

Survivors include

  • Three children: Tammy (David) Haste, Pamela Sue (Freddie) Dunbar-Ritchie, and John (Connie) Dunbar, all of Greenfield, Indiana
  • Four grandchildren: Kayla Dunbar, Jake Dunbar, Breanna Miles, Michael (April) Haste
  • Two great grandchildren: Nicole Haste, Jackson Miles
  • One sister: Rena Ellen Winchester, Nancy, KY
  • Several nieces & nephews
