ACSO: Injury accident caused by DUI Adair County man airlifted after rollover accident on KY 704. Charges to be filed as a result of the collision. By Sheriff Josh Brockman Adair County Sheriff's Office On Monday, March 4, 2029, at 3:48pmCT, Adair County 911 received a call of a vehicle rollover with the driver being ejected. Sheriff Josh Brockman and Deputy Josh Durbin were dispatched to a single vehicle collision with injuries approximately 6 miles south of Columbia on KY 704. Upon investigating the collision, it was determined that Cody Gadberry, 23, of Columbia, KY, was operating a 1998 Chevrolet pickup headed north on KY 704 at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle began to skid sideways down the road before overturning twice and coming to rest on its top. During the rollover, Garberry, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected. Gadberry was treated at the scene by Adair EMS and then rushed to TJ Health of Columbia, where he was airlifted by Air Evac to the University of Kentucky Hospital for head injuries. Upon his release from medical care, Gadberry will be facing charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Drugs, and Possession of a Controlled substance 1st degree Methamphetamine. The collision investigation was conducted by Deputy Durbin, who was assisted by Sheriff Brockman. Responding agencies included the Adair County Sheriff's Office, Columbia Adair County Fire Department, Adair County EMS, and Air Evac. This story was posted on 2019-03-06 08:39:15
