Third-seeded Life (18-13) avenges two regular-season losses to the sixth-seeded Blue Raiders and advanced to play Pikeville (KY) in the second semifinal game. Lindsey Wilson produced a solid first half to take a 39-36 lead at the break. The Blue Raiders (16-15) shot 48 percent from the field, including making 9-of-17 threes in the opening half. Life turned up the pressure in the second half and limited the Blue Raiders to just two of eight 3-pointers in the half. The Running Eagles -- who were outrebounded by Lindsey Wilson twice during the regular season -- grabbed 10 more boards today, including 12 offensive rebounds. Life outscored the Blue Raiders 15-2 in second-chance points during the game. Lindsey Wilson led by as many as eight points in the first half before settling for the three-point advantage at intermission. Life sprinted out of the locker room with a 14-4 run in the first seven minutes of the second half to take a 50-43 lead. The Blue Raiders managed to tie the game twice in the half, the final time coming at 52-52 with just under nine minutes remaining. The Running Eagles used another run to take control. Life scored 11 of the next 12 points while holding the Blue Raiders without a field goal for more than four minutes to take a 63-53 lead with 5:06 left in regulation. Lindsey Wilson climbed within three points twice in the latter stages of the game, but Life tallied the final five points of the game to advance. Kel Stotts led the Blue Raiders with 20 points while Matthew Eldridge added 16 points and a team-high eight rebounds. Life's Evan Milligan scored a game-high 29 points in the win.
