LWC Men's Swimming adds two more All-American Honors

COLUMBUS, GA - The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team adds two more All-American honors on the third day of competition at the NAIA National Swimming Championship.

The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team finished day three with 129 team points to sit in the ninth place heading into the last day of competition. Keiser (FL) leads the men's side after three days of competition with 419 team points. SCAD-Savannah (GA) is in second place with 385.5 team points, while Lindenwood-Bellville (IL) is in third at 209 team points.


-PRELIMINARIES-
The 200 medley relay team of Clemens Paetzold, Bryce Rice, Pedro Terra and Aleksander Olejnik kicked off the third day of competition with a 6th place finish to earn a spot in the finals with a time of 1:33.65.

Ron Wolfart earned a spot in the consolation heat in the 400 individual medley touching the wall in 4:09.53.

Olejnik earned a finals spot in the 100 breaststroke with a seventh-place finish in 57.52. Wolfart added with a consolation spot with a tied for ninth place, with the time of 57.60. Rice competed as well earning a 16th place finish earning the final spot in the consolation with a time of 58.39.

Paetzold added a 10th place finish in the 100 backstroke to earn a consolation spot finishing with a time of 51.92.

In the 200 freestyle, Terra placed 17th finishing the event in 1:44.70.

-FINALS-
The men's 200 medley relay kicked off the finals with a sixth-place finish earning All-American honors with a time of 1:33.57.

Olejnik earned his first individual All-American honors in the 100 breaststroke with a fifth-place finish in 56.10 seconds.

Wolfart and Rice competed in the 100 breaststroke in the consolation, with Wolfart finishing in 12th in 57.83 seconds, while Rice finished in 16th hitting the wall in 58.59 seconds.

Wolfart added a 16th place finish in the 400 individual medley finishing in 4:19.33.

In the 100 backstroke, Paetzold finished in ninth place with a time of 51.38.

The Lindsey Wilson men's swimming team is back in action tomorrow for the final day of competition starting at 8amCT for the preliminaries followed by the finals at 4pmCT at the Columbus Aquatic Center.
