Adair County FFA Greenhand Ceremony

By Rebecca Heuser, Junior Reporter

On Tuesday night, February the 26th, 2019, the Adair County FFA held their annual Greenhand Ceremony for freshman students enrolled in Agriculture classes at Adair County FFA to receive their Greenhand degree.

The night began with opening ceremonies by the 2018-2019 senior officers, followed by a devotion by the chapter sweetheart Lexi Gist.

The new members received their certificates and Greenhand pins and were congratulated by Senior Officers. A Creed-reciting contest and a Quiz contest were conducted as well.

Alicia Coffey took home the win for the Quiz contest, and Gracie Baker won the Creed contest. The ceremony was concluded with cake and refreshments.

Congratulations to all of the students who received their degree and competed, we wish you the best of luck in furthering your walk in agriculture and FFA!
