Reagan Turner hits a career milestone By Chris Wells Lindsey Wilson sophomore Reagan Turner eclipsed the 1,000-point mark on Thursday night in the Blue Raiders'61-59 setback to host Pikeville University at the UPike Gym. Turner becomes the 13th Blue Raider in the program's history to reach 1,000 points. She achieved the mark in 58 career games -- the fourth fastest in the program's history. The Gamaliel, KY, native, is leading the Mid-South Conference in scoring and ranks seventh in the NAIA this season while shooting 46 percent from the field. Following her 18-point performance on Thursday, Turner is averaging 20.2 points per game this season. Turner has notched double-digits in all but one game this season, including 12 20-point games. She recorded her career-high with 32 points in the Blue Raiders' win earlier this season over Pikeville. "Reagan has had a terrific season to this point," John B. Wethington said. "Everyone can see that she is having a great offensive season, but she does so much more for this team than score. She is a terrific defender and an outstanding leader." In addition to her scoring prowess, Turner is averaging 3.6 rebounds and a team-high 3.2 assists per outing. She is also third in the conference with 54 steals this season. Lindsey Wilson is 16-8 this season, including 6-4 in the Mid-South Conference. The Blue Raiders return to action at 1pmCT on Saturday against No. 10 Shawnee State (Ohio) in Portsmouth, Ohio.
