Five Blue Raiders headed to National Archery Championships

Members of the Lindsey Wilson archery program are heading to Las Vegas, Nevada to compete at the United States Intercollegiate Indoor National Archery Championships scheduled this weekend at South Pointe Hotel, Casino and Resort.

Five student-athletes are set to compete in the event in their respective disciplines. Taylor Bell is competing in the men's bowhunter discipline. Madison Hart is competing in women's compound, while Olivia Harner competes in the women's recurve discipline. Drew Canos will compete in the men's recurve, with Cameron Curran set to compete in men's basic bow.


The archers are competing in the collegiate events as well as take place in the 53rd Annual Vegas Shoot which is known as the largest and most prestigious archery tournament in the world. Over 3,500 archers compete during the three-day event.

Competition is scheduled to begin on Friday and end Sunday with the championship shoot-off.
