LWC Wrestling Hosts Cumberlands on Senior Night

The Lindsey Wilson wrestling team hosts No. 5 Cumberlands (KY) for senior night on Tuesday at 7pmCT at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY.

Seven senior student-athletes are being honored in tonight's ceremony for their contributions to the Lindsey Wilson wrestling program. Brett Bradford, Jacob Burroughs, Trevor Edmonson, Bryson Jones, Lucas Miozza, Brady Moser and Mark Taijeron will all be honored.


LWC wrestling (5-1 MSC) returns to action after defeating No.17 Campbellsville (Ky.) on Thursday evening 16-15.

Eight of ten wrestlers projected to see action in Tuesday's dual are ranked nationally in the NAIA. Reed is the highest ranked Lindsey Wilson grappler, sitting on top of the heavyweight class with the No.1 overall ranking. Johnson is sixth in the 141-pound weight class with Smallwood also ranked sixth in the 157-pound weight class. Bradford is ranked eighth in the 174-pound weight class. Moser rounds out the Blue Raiders ranked inside the top-10, coming in at No. 9 of the 133-pound weight class.

As for Blue Raiders outside of the top-10, Taijeron ranks 14th in the 157-pound weight class with Miozza and Buckman both ranking 20th in the 184-pound and 197-pound weight classes, respectively.

Cumberlands (Ky.) (6-0 MSC) returns to action after defeating No.3 Life (Ga.) 25-14 on Saturday afternoon. The Patriots are perfect in conference duals this season, with their lineup featuring eight grapplers ranked in their respective weight classes.
