Gerald Rousey, 69, Hustonville, KY (1949-2019) Jerry was a farmer and a logger. He was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church and the Rocky Ford Masonic Lodge. Gerald "Jerry" Rousey, of Hustonville, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at Casey County Hospital. He was 69 years old. The funeral service will be held at 10amET on Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Bud Stidham officiating. Burial will follow in Hustonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4pmET until 8pmET on Monday, February 4, 2019, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Born on August 12, 1949, in Danville, Kentucky, he was a son of Daisy Sears Rousey and the late Lewis "Buster" Rousey. Jerry was a farmer and a logger. He was a member of Rocky Ford Baptist Church and the Rocky Ford Masonic Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Linda Christian Rousey of Hustonville, who he wed on October 14, 1967; a daughter, Ashley Rousey Lynn (and Nick Lynn) of Hustonville; a son, Jordan (and Savannah) Rousey of Hustonville; and three grandchildren, Bryson, Toby and Lincoln. Other survivors include two sisters, Jackie Rakes of Bradfordsville and Judy (and Dennis) Bullock of Waynesburg. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Briggs Lynn. Pallbearers will be Todd Wilson, Doug Beldon, Greg Tapscott, Chris Tapscott, Danny Clarkson, Craig Griffin, Tommy Sheperson and James Morgan. Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family of Mr. Rousey with funeral expenses.
