WKU's Institute for Rural Health receives $20k grant By Tommy Newton The Institute for Rural Health, part of WKU's CollInstitute for Rural Health receives grant from Delta Dental of Kege of Health and Human Services, has received a $20,000 grant from Delta Dental of Kentucky's Foundation. The grant will be used to purchase materials and supplies for the Preventive Program offered by the Mobile Dental Unit, which consists of a sealant program for elementary and middle school children, a fluoride varnish program for Head Start children and a prenatal dental program. "The Institute for Rural Health is honored to receive this grant from Delta Dental of Kentucky," said Dr. Daniel Carter, Dental Director for the Institute for Rural Health. "The funds from Delta Dental provide much-needed preventive dental services to vulnerable populations in the area, as well invaluable real-world experiences to WKU students."
