LWC Women's Basketball Hosts Wilberforce on Monday Night By Clayton Barefield The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team is set to host Wilberforce (Ohio) on Monday at 6pmCT from Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Monday's matchup is the 16th meeting between the two programs. Lindsey Wilson holds a 15-0 record against Wilberforce. The last meeting between the two programs was back on Dec. 3, 2013, where the Blue Raiders defeated the Bulldogs 85-49 at Biggers Sports Center. The No. 21-ranked Blue Raiders (14-6, 5-2 in the Mid-South Conference) return home to Columbia after an important conference victory on the road, defeating Life (Ga.) 81-71 in Marietta, Georgia on Saturday afternoon. Reagan Turner led the offense for Lindsey Wilson, scoring 30 points along adding seven assists. J'Nayah Hall recorded her second double-double of the year scoring a career-best 26 points as well as managing a career-best 16 rebounds to lead the team off the glass. As a team, Lindsey Wilson ranks eighth in NAIA Division I in offensive rebounds per game with an average of 15.95 rebounds. The Blue Raiders also rank 10th in blocks per game (4.35). Individually, Turner ranks sixth in both total scoring (408) and points per game (20.4). Gerda Paulauskaite remains in the top-10 in total blocks (52) and in blocks per game (2.74). Wilberforce (9-8, 1-0 in the Association of Independent Institutions) visit Biggers Sports Center after defeating Great Lakes Christian (Mich.) 93-42 on Saturday. Nia McCormick leads the Bulldogs this season in points per game (12.0) while shooting for 41.3 percent from the field.
