Quotable Quote Caught Vs. Bought Fish This article first appeared in issue 17, and was written by BRUCE WILSON. When I was a young man, if I had been caught out buying fish, it would have embarrassed me so much I wouldn't have been able to show my face. Brought up the way I was-on Alligator between Eli and Gosser Ridge, so far out there weren't any fishing seasons and going to Russell Springs twice in one month was extravagant-we always caught our own fish. Buying fish was trifling. -BRUCE WILSON, who browns 'em cooked bone-in, and holds with picking the bones clean. This story was posted on 1997-10-31 12:01:01
