Brenda Garmon Bryant, 71, Cumberland Co., KY native (1947-2019)

Ms. Brenda Joyce (Garmon) Bryant of Paducah, Kentucky formerly of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, at her home in Paducah, Kentucky, having attained the age of 71 years, 5 months, and 24 days.

The Funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main St, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Gary E. Cash officiating. Burial will be in the Burkesville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends after 5pmCT on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.


She was born in Burkesville (Cumberland County) Kentucky on Saturday, July 19, 1947, the daughter of Raymond Nile Garmon, Jr. and Mary Corinth (Loy) "Maudie" Garmon.

She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, a Graduate of Cumberland County High School class of 1965, and graduated from cosmetology school, was a Licensed Cosmetologist, and a seamstress for Osh Kosh and Werner Works.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her Brother, James Lester "Jimmy" Garmon, sister, Pachia (Garmon) Anderson, niece, Tami Lynn Dyer, and nephew, Parker Garmon.

She is survived by her Children, Michelle Renae (Bryant) Lowe and husband Dewaine, of Paducah, Charlie Harold Bryant, Jr. "Chuck" and wife Laura, of Paducah, Marla Jo (Bryant) Carver and husband Gary II, of Smiths Grove, Kentucky sister, Judith Lynn (Garmon) Dyer and husband, Wesley of Louisville, Kentucky, grandchildren, Peyton Shepard, Holden Shepard, Chase Carver, Rachel Lowe, Samantha Carver, Mason Shepard, and Morgan Carver, Nephews, Dr. Paul Edward Anderson, Jr. and wife Christina, James Wesley Dyer, Jr. "Jay" and wife Niki, Nieces, Lora Garmon Burney and Tanya Garmon Blomeley, several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins also survive.

Memorials may be made to the Lone Oak First Baptist Church in her memory and may be left at the Funeral Home.
