LWC Baseball releases 2019 schedule

The Lindsey Wilson baseball team released its 2019 schedule on Monday, head coach Cody Andreychuk announced.

Andreychuk, who served as an assistant coach on the 2018 Lindsey Wilson baseball team begins his first season at the head of the program.

Lindsey Wilson opens the 2019 season at 3pmCT on February 8, 2019, against Georgia Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Georgia.


The Blue Raiders went 22-28 overall and 8-9 in Mid-South Conference play during the 2018 season to finished fourth in the conference standings.

To open their 2019 season, the Blue Raiders play eight straight road contests that features three games against No. 3 Georgia Gwinnett, two games against No. 2 Freed-Hardman -- the 2018 Avista-NAIA World Series Runner Up -- as well as a single contest versus No. 15 Bryan.

The Blue Raiders open their home portion of the schedule against Saint Francis (Ind.) on Feb. 22-23 at Egnew Park when they take part in a four-game series. The series kicks off a string of 17 straight home contests lasting until March 13.

On March 15, Lindsey Wilson opens off the conference portion of their 2019 campaign. The Blue Raiders travel to MSC foe Shawnee State (Ohio) for their first conference game and then play host to Campbellsville (Ky.) at Egnew Park on April 19 in what is their MSC home opener.

The MSC Tournament is set to be held during May 2-5, and the 2019 Avista-NAIA World Series is scheduled for May 24-31 in Lewiston, Idaho.

In all, Lindsey Wilson plays nineteen games against nine different teams that received votes in the 2019 NAIA Baseball Coaches' Preseason Top 25 Poll.
