Mildred Dohoney Hodges, 94, Adair County, KY (1924-2019)

She was the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus & Hallie Clarkson Dohoney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hartsell Hodges; son, James Terry Hodges; one sister, Maxine VanHoy; and five brothers, Joe, Billy Ray, Harry Lee, Eugene & Bob Dohoney. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church & a homemaker.

Mildred Hodges, 94, of Columbia, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at Summit Manor Health & Rehab Center.

Funeral Services will be Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2pmCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Pescosolido officiating. Visitation after 2pm on Sunday. Burial will follow the service in Haven Hill Cemetery.



She was born October 31, 1924 in Adair County to the late Christopher Columbus & Hallie Clarkson Dohoney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hartsell Hodges in 2002; one son, James Terry Hodges in 1987; one sister, Maxine VanHoy; and five brothers, Joe, Billy Ray, Harry Lee, Eugene & Bob Dohoney. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church & a homemaker.

Survivors Include:

Two Sons - Mike Hodges & his wife Sherry of Bowling Green, Tony Hodges & his wife Chonda of Glensfork

One Daughter - Kathy Dean & her husband Roy of Columbia

Daughter-in-law - Marcella Hodges of Columbia

Eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren & one expected great-grandchild.

Several other relatives & friends also survive

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
