Bree Glover transferring to Campbellsville from Ole Miss By Jordan Alves Campbellsville, KY - For just the first time in the Ginger High Colvin era, Lady Tiger basketball make a splash in the high major NCAA Division I level and landed University of Mississippi transfer Bree Glover. Coach High Colvin announced the transfer late on Friday night as she was heading to a recruiting trip at a local high school. Glover, a 5-foot-10 forward, is originally from Glasgow, KY, and will have two years of eligibility remaining for the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. "Bree is an unbelievable talent and a huge pick up for us," said Coach High Colvin. "We watched her excel in high school at Glasgow under Coach Stinson and knew she would go on to be a great college player. We are so grateful that she decided to come back closer to home. "Her athleticism and overall skill set fit our style of play perfectly, and she has the potential to be an impact player right away in our league. I can't tell you how excited we are about her future as a Lady Tiger." Glover played the previous two seasons at Ole Miss and excelled on the court. During her freshman season, she only averaged 1.2 points and 1.3 rebounds per game in 19 appearances but that went up in her sophomore campaign. Glover played in 31 games for the Rebels - averaging 20.3 minutes per game - and tallied 1.6 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. The former 14th-ranked wing player in the class of 2016 according to ESPN HoopGurlz, finished second on the team with 153 total rebounds in 2017-18 and had a career-high 10 boards in her first-career start vs. Texas Southern. During her prep career, Glover played for Glasgow and ranked 86th nationally in her entire class. She helped lead the Scotties to the 2014 state championship and Region Four titles in 2012 and 2014. In her senior year, Glover averaged 25 points, 10.2 rebounds, 3.9 blocks and 3.3 assists. She set school records for career points (2,730), rebounds (1,611), blocks (626) and assists (528). Glover also put her name in the single-game record books for points (51) and rebounds (22). As a junior, she averaged 19.2 points per game and 9.7 rebounds per game. She also became the all-time leading girls' basketball player at Glasgow High School with over 1,800 career points during her junior year. During her AAU days, Glover played AAU along with teammate Madison Faulkner on the Kentucky Blast where the two won an AAU National Championship together. She also suited up with University of Kentucky's Jaida Roper on the Tennessee Flight. Prior to her commitment to Ole Miss, and now transfer to Campbellsville, Glover considered options from Indiana, Kansas, Stanford and WKU out of high school. The NCAA DI transfer is the sixth in the Colvin era - Whitney Ballinger (WKU), Courtney Clifton (WKU), Ellen Sholtes (WKU), Mary Jehlik (Murray State), and Emily Fox (Austin Peay).
