Adair Co. Grand Jury returns indictments Fri 4 Jan 2019
Indictments brought against 16 individuals from Columbia, Jamestown, Elkhorn, Campbellsville, and Louisville, KY, and Mobile, AL, on charges including abuse, terroristic threatening, wanton endangerment, possession, theft, and trafficking.
NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.
The Adair County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Columbia, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Friday, 4 January 2019:
- Harold Baldon, Stratton Ave., Louisville, KY Indictment No. 10-CR-00001. Charged with 3 counts. Count 1 - Intimidating a participant in the legal process. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Violation of Kentucky EPO/DVO. Bail set at $7,500 cash. Arraignment 01/29/2019 at 9amCT.
- Daniel C. Burton, Liberty Rd., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00002. Charged with 7 counts. Count 1 - Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Count 2 - Possession of a controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense, methamphetamine. Count 3 - Possession of drug paraphernalia. Count 4 - Operating on a suspended/revoked operators license. Failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance/security. Count 6 - Improper registration plate. Count 7 - Failure to wear seat belts. Bail set at $5,000 cash. - Jeffrey A. Iames, Hill St., Columbia, KY Indictment No. 19-CR-00003. Charged with 9 counts. Count 1 - Fleeing or evading the police, 1st degree. Count 2 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 3 - Wanton endangerment, 1st degree. Count 4 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Count 5 - Leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid of assistance. Count 6 - Reckless driving. Count 7 - Operating on a suspended/revoked operators license. Count 8 - Fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree.
