Paula Miller Reports Bear Incident . . . This article first appeared in issue 16, and was written by Ed Waggener. Bobby Beard had a bear cub run out in front of him on the Cumberland Parkway and couldn't avoid hitting him with his semi. This was reported by Paula Miller, of the Circle R wait staff. Bobby Beard fulfilled a Lifetime Dream for Mrs. Miller: He gave her a ride in an 18-wheeler, something she had been wanting to do all her life. And on the short trip around the Square, he confided the story. This story was posted on 1997-09-15 12:01:01
