PCHS put on lockdown today, gun found in school

Juvenile found with gun in Somerset high school arrested, brought to Columbia where he is lodged in the ACJDC.

By Mitzi Bault

After talking with my daughter Amy who teaches at Northern Middle School in Pulaski County, KY, I learned schools were put on lockdown because of a student having a gun at Kaylee's school - our granddaughter Kaylee Ann Whitaker goes to Pulaski County High School.

I don't know all details but the student is now in the Adair County Juvenile Detention Center.

When Amy was teaching in Tennessee several years ago there was a student that killed a Councilor and Vice Principal.

I never thought that I would be scared for my daughter to be a teacher nor for my grandchildren to go to school.

Prayers for our schools, please.
