LWC Wrestling begins competitions on Friday By Christopher Coombs The Lindsey Wilson wrestling team opens the first day of competition at the National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NWCA) 2019 Multi-Divisional National Duals and the NUWAY College Open on Friday. Wrestling begins at 8amCT on both Friday and Saturday from the Kentucky Expo Center, 937 Phillips Ln, Louisville, KY, for the NWCA National Championship. A host of Lindsey Wilson wrestlers are also set to compete at the NUWAY Open that also begins on Friday at 8amCT at the Expo Center. Lindsey Wilson faces off against the top squads from across the NAIA in the NWCA National Duals team bracket competition. Along with the 8th-ranked Blue Raiders, other teams scheduled to be in attendance include No. 1 Grand View (Iowa), No. 2 Indiana Tech, No. 4 Providence (Mont.), No. 5 Cumberlands (Ky.), No. 7 Life (Ga.), No. 9 Midland (Neb), No. 11 Missouri Valley (Ky.), No. 12 Southern Oregon, No. 13 Southeastern (Fla.), No. 16 Williams Baptist (Ark.) No. 17 Baker (Kan.), No 19 Campbellsville (Ky.), along with Bethany (Kan.) who is receiving votes in the national poll. The Blue Raiders face Mid-South Conference rival Campbellsville in the first round of competition Friday on Mat 17 at 8 am CT.
