LWC Women's basketball at Thomas More Thursday night By Clayton Barefield The No. 18-ranked Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team heads to Crestview Hills, Kentucky to take on NCAA DIII and future Mid-South Conference opponent Thomas More (KY) at 6pmCT on Thursday from Connor Convocation Center, 333 Thomas More Pkwy, Crestview Hills, KY. Thursday night's matchup is just the second meeting between the two programs. The two programs last met back in 1988 where the Blue Raiders won 73-56 at home. The Blue Raiders (9-3) return to action after defeating Indiana-Southeast 83-55 at Biggers Sports Center back on Dec. 29. Reagan Turner led the offensive effort with 20 points and four assists. Two other Blue Raiders netted double-digit points in the victory as well. J'Nayah Hall scored 19 points while Maleigha Oldham tallied 10 points. Gerda Paulauskaite's defensive efforts so far this season have been solid with an average of 2.3 blocks per game as well as 26 total blocks which puts her at No. 7 in the NAIA in both categories. Heidi Huffman ranks 13th in the NAIA in three-point field goals per game with an average of 2.7 a contest while also ranking 14th for total three-point field goals made with 33. Thomas More (19-0) hosts the Blue Raiders after defeating Pikeville (Ky.) 70-37 at home on Wednesday night. Madison Temple led the Saints offense scoring 18 points and recording five assists.
