Lonnie Grant, 72, Columbia, KY (1946-2018) Mr. Grant loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play ball. Lonnie Grant, 72, of Columbia died Friday, December 14, 2018 at T. J. Health of Columbia. Funeral services will be 2pmCT on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at the Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. Br. Ronnie Janes and Bro. Stanley Watson will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 4:30pmCT on Monday, December 17, 2018, at the funeral home. Born in Columbia, KY, he was the son of the late Claudie Ray Grant and Beula Earls Grant of Columbia who survives. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister Glenda Sue Janes. Mr. Grant loved spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play ball. In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children Lisa Walkup (Heath), Eric Grant (Marianne), Latasha Gist (Robby) and Josh Grant (Heather) all of Columbia, KY; thirteen grandchildren Brooke, Brittany, Derek (Alexis), Daniel, Lonnie, Lane and Kaylee Grant, Lexi, Zane and Gracie Gist and Lauren, Mariah and Kaylyn Grant; great grandchildren Bryson Wade, Hunter Wade, Te'oynna Young, Nellianna Grant and one on the way Vincent Michael Grant; a brother-in-law Ronnie Janes and special niece and nephew Tammy Hatcher (Mark) and Chris Janes (Wendy) all of Columbia. Pallbearers will be Eric, Derek, Daniel, Lonnie and Josh Grant and Robby Gist. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Hatcher, Mark Willis, Danny Hatcher, Bill Aaron, Ronnie Stone, Danny Mouser, Larry Russell Bryant, Murrell Burton, Brian Cowan, Mike Loy, Johnny Burton, Jeffrey Bennett, Jessie Hagan, Daryl McGaha, Chris Melton and Brian Davidson.
