Greg Smith, 56, native of Adair County, KY (1962-2018)

While serving as a mortgage broker, he helped in opening many other mortgage and title companies in the surrounding area. He was involved in many different sporting activities, a drag racing enthusiast, an ultra-competitive card player and an avid golfer & University of Kentucky fan.

Greg Smith, 56, of Campbellsville, died Friday, December 7, 2018 at his home.

Funeral Service will be Monday, December 10, 2018 at 12noonCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home with Bro. Stanley Watson, Bro. Steve Wagers & Bro. Drew Hayes officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery in Russell County. Visitation is after 12noonCT Sunday. Casket Bearers will be Robbie Shaw, Chuck Bohannon, Matt Alvey, Trey Shirley, Jonathan Grider & Zack Charbonneau.



He was born July 1, 1962 in Adair County. He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald A. Smith. Greg was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Campbellsville, was a mortgage broker for Wildcat Mortgage and also obtained his real estate license. While serving as a mortgage broker, he helped in opening many other mortgage and title companies in the surrounding area. Greg was involved in many different sporting activities, a drag racing enthusiast, an ultra-competitive card player and an avid golfer & University of Kentucky fan.

Survivors Include:
  • His Wife - Tamara Horton Smith of Campbellsville
  • One Son - Elliot G. Smith of Columbia
  • Two Daughters - Tia Smith (Brandon) White & Carly Smith Flanagan both of Columbia
  • Two Stepchildren - Tyler (Liz) Fox of Lexington & Tatum Fox of Shelbyville
  • Five Grandchildren - Evan Smith, Callee White, Ava Flanagan, Emalyn White & Caylyn White
  • His Mother - Rosemary Godby of Bardstown
  • One Sister - Jennifer Mills of Bardstown
  • Step-Mother - Betty Smith of Russell Springs
  • Several other relatives & friends also survive
Memorials are requested to the Donor's Local food pantry in memory of Greg and may be left at the funeral home.

Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
