Commentary: Drivers beware By Ralph Waggener I was setting on 206 at the intersection of 55N and when the light finally turned green I started to go, but looked to my right and a small black car was traveling at least 55 or 60 miles per hour and I stopped, she never look my way and did not look like she was on a cell phone. Later, going through this same light, I got part of the way out onto 55 and a truck not going very fast pulled on into the junction, he did stop but as I passed he headed on through the red light. William Grider, my son-in-law, was behind him, and said he had done the same thing at the light in front of Grissom Martin Funeral Home! So if you have the right-of-way, you still need to watch very closely when you are driving in Columbia or for that matter anywhere, it's darn too dangerous to be on our highways anymore!
