Laverne Kessler McKinney, 89, Green County, KY (1929-2018) She had made a profession of faith in Christ, was former member of the Fry Baptist Church for many years, and current member of the Community Baptist Church. She was also a retired machine operator for Fruit of the Loom after 44 years of service. She married George "Grover" McKinney in 1944 who preceded her in death in 2003. Thelma Laverne Kessler McKinney of Greensburg, KY departed this life on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the Taylor Regional Hospital. She was 89 years, 10 months, and 22 days of age. The funeral services will be conducted at 1pmCT Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the McKinney Family Cemetery. Bro. Twyman Davis and Bro. Mark Lile officiating. Visitation is requested from 4-8pmCT Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT Thursday until time of the funeral service. PALLBEARERS: Shane McKinney, Brian McKinney, Brandon McKinney, Alex Lee, Dustin McKinney, Shorty Keltner, David Allen McKinney, Jackie Jewell. HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren. The daughter of the late Pleas Will Kessler and Elmer Lee Finn Kessler, she was born on Friday, January 4, 1929.
