Miller bid accepted for City's Burkesville Loop gas line project

The Columbia city Council special called meeting on November 27, 2018 was a brief one, including only two items for decisions.

I. The single bid received for the Burkesville Loop gas line extension project was $95,972 for labor and $6,409.60 for materials from Miller contracting. The total bid of $102,381.60 was approved unanimously.



II. The Lake Cumberland Area Development District motion to compile the Workforce Analysis Study funded by a USDA feasibility grant for the City of Columbia was approved unanimously.

Present at the meeting were Mayor Curtis Hardwick, City Clerk Rhonda Loy, City Attorney Dustin Warren, and councilmembers Dr. Ronald Rogers, Pam Hoots, Mark Harris, Craig Lasley, and Linda Waggener. Craig and Dean was absent.

City Gas Superintendent Ronald Cook is pictured after the Special Called Council meeting with Darryl Miller of Miller Contracting and James Garrison of JAGCO Construction.
