Max Wise to speak during QEP Lecture Series at CU By Ariel C. Emberton Campbellsville, KY - Max Wise, senator for Kentucky's 16th District, will be speaking at Campbellsville University on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 5pmCT/6pmET in the Badgett Academic Support Center Banquet Hall, 110 University Drive, Campbellsville. Wise is one of the many speakers being hosted by CU's Quality Enhancement Project (QEP) and will be speaking about ethics in politics. The Quality Enhancement Project (QEP) is a component of the university's Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. Campbellsville University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award certificates, associate, baccalaureate, and masters. Wise is a graduate of CU where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History in 1997. In 1999, Wise completed his Master's of Arts in International Politics and National Security at the University of Kentucky. An Advanced Graduate Certificate with the concentration in Homeland Security was obtained by Wise from Texas A&M University. From 2000 to 2003, Wise worked at CU as an instructor in political science. In 2003 he went to Washington D.C. to work for the Federal Bureau of Investigation and was transferred to the Louisville's FBI office at the end of the year. Wise has worked with the terrorism task force, weapons of mass destruction/emerging weapons threat unit and the counterterrorism division. In 2015, Wise was elected to serve in Kentucky's state Senate, district 16, and still holds the position. Wise is a native of Campbellsville and is married to Dr. Heather Hood Wise. They have three children: Grayson, Jackson, Carter and McLean Wise. The session is open to the public and free of charge. For CU students, convocation credit will be available. The event will also have refreshments such as cookies, fruit and vegetables.
