Joyce Lee Hancock-Devore, 84, Metcalfe County, KY native

She was a devoted wife to Ron Devore who survives. She was a lovely person who was a true friend to all.

Joyce Lee Hancock-Devore, age 84 of Cave City, KY departed this life on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at her home.

Funeral services were held November 16, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.



She was the daughter of the late James Hancock and Edith Owens Hancock. She was office manager at Mitchell Brothers Enterprises and of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her husband Ron Devore of Cave City, a native of Metcalfe County, KY; two Step children, Chuck Devore of Lexington and Michele Phillips of Tampa, FL; two sisters Virginia Denton and Janice Matthews, both of Glasgow; one grandchild, Jamie Phillips of Tampa, FL; and one great grandchild Isaiah Phillips.

Besides her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Buddy Hancock.

Well-known Metcalfe County, KY Veteran Ron Devore has lost his special lady, Joyce Lee Hancock-Devore, who passed from this life on Tuesday November 13, 2018 at their home. Joyce was a lovely person, devoted to him and the family and a true friend to all. Funeral services were held November 16, 2018 at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. This photo is from an event she attended with him where he was honored for his service in the Korean War.
