Lindsey Wilson Men's Soccer will host Madonna

The Lindsey Wilson men's soccer team hosts Madonna (Mich.) in the NAIA National Championship Opening Round on Saturday, according to the national qualifiers and Opening Round pairings released by the national office on Monday.

Kickoff for Saturday's matchup is scheduled for 2pmCT at Walter S. Reuling Stadium, 151 Holloway Drive, Columbia, KY.


The No. 7-seeded Blue Raiders (15-2-1) received an automatic qualifying bid into the national championship field after winning the programs 13th Mid-South Conference Tournament title last Friday.

Lindsey Wilson is making its 25th all-time appearance at the national tournament and owns a 52-14-6 record.

Madonna (16-4-0) qualified for the national tournament as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference regular season champion.

The Crusaders are making their fifth appearance in the national tournament.

Lindsey Wilson and Madonna have met just one previous time on the soccer pitch with the Blue Raiders winning 6-1 back on Sept. 2, 2004.

The winner advances to the final site in Irvine, California to face the winner of Marymount (Calif.) and No. 10-seed Bellevue (Neb.) on Tuesday, Nov. 27.
