Rose M. Tarter, 88, Russell Springs, KY (1930-2018) She was community-spirited, having been active in many civic organizations including the Business & Professional Womens Club, for which she also was named the 1981 BPW career woman of the year. She was a special edcuation teacher. Rose M. Tarter, 88, of Russell Springs, died Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Fair Oaks Nursing Home in Jamestown. The funeral service for Rose M. Tarter will be 1:30pmCT on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N. Main St., Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Ryan Coffey, Bro. Jeff Griffin and Bro. Carroll Egnew officiating. Special Music will be performed by the Russell Springs First Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow in the Russell Springs City Cemetery. Visitation is requested after 9amCT on Wednesday. Rose Morene (Jones) Tarter was born February 18, 1930 in Pekin, Illinois to the late Elba H. & Jewell White Jones. Rose was a life long and active member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church. She was community-spirited, having been active in many civic organizations including the Business & Professional Womens Club, for which she also was named the 1981 BPW career woman of the year.
