LWC Women's Basketball set for home opener on Wednesday By Clayton Barefield The Lindsey Wilson women's basketball team is set for the 2018-19 season home-opener against NCAA Division III member Berea (KY) at 5pmCT on Wednesday, November 7, 2018, at Biggers Sports Center, 360 Spickard Drive, Columbia, KY. Wednesday's matchup is the 22nd meeting between the two programs. Lindsey Wilson holds an 18-3 advantage over Berea. The last meeting between the two programs fell on February 24, 2015, where the Mountaineers defeated the Blue Raiders 67-62 at Berea. The Blue Raiders (1-1) opened up the season this weekend splitting two games at the First Bank Richmond Classic hosted by Indiana East. Reagan Turner is the player to watch for the Blue Raiders as she has opened the season with two double-digit scoring performances for a total of 40 points. The Mountaineers (0-0) open their season against the Blue Raiders after a 23-4 record last season that included a USA South Tournament Championship appearance.
