Alcohol believed a factor in one-vehicle accident in Columbia

On November 3, 2018 the Adair County Sheriff's Office responded to the 1000 Block of Green Hills Road to a single vehicle accident with injuries.

A preliminary investigation determined Theresa Savage 49 of Louisville, was West bound in 2005 Nissan Maxima when she failed to navigate a left hand curve.

Savage then overcorrected resulting in the vehicle flipping several times until coming to a stop. Savage was transported by Adair County EMS to T.J. Health Columbia for injuries sustained.

Upon being medically cleared and released from T.J. Health, Savage was placed under arrest for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol .08 or higher. Savage was lodged in the Adair County Regional Jail. Alcohol is believed to be the determining factor in the collision.

The Adair County Sheriff's Office was assisted on the scene by Columbia Police Department, Adair County EMS, and Constable Jason Rector.
