Saturday morning - breakfast and events throughout the day Places to eat this morning, places to go throughout the day. By Linda Waggener Good Saturday morning, November 3, 2018! It's a clear, crisp 33 degrees as I write this and look over events of the day. We celebrated the last Farmers Market on the Square one week ago so we don't have the food booths and Hungry Kids Cafe this morning, however, we have two breakfast options in their place. The Columbia-Adair County Fire Department is cooking in their annual Pancake Fry at the fire house just up the street from the FM2 location on Merchant Street. $6.00 for all you can eat pancakes, sausage and coffee and all proceeds go to the 2019 WHAS Crusade for Children. And also cooking now in the Chamber of Commerce meeting place, the Annual Eunice Church of God country ham breakfast fundraiser is going on until 10amCT. Menu will include country ham, fried apples, fried potatoes, scrambled eggs and biscuits. Juice, coffee and water to drink. Donations will be appreciated. There's also the Egypt men's prayer breakfast at Patty's Liberty Road General Store & diner starting at 8amCT Once you're full of good country cooking, there's the 5th annual Columbia Christmas Bazaar from 8amCT until 2pmCT in the Trinity United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, 2418 Campbellsville Rd., Columbia, KY. Starting at 5pmCT at Homeplace on Green River's Shakespeare in the Barn series: One Man's Lincoln At 5:30pmCT there's the benefit and auction at Columbia Christian Church to help Jennifer Crawhorn and family with medical, travel, and food expenses Don't forget the 15 Year Reunion ACHS Class of 2003 at 7pmCT Also at 7pmCT there's a play by the Adair County High School Theater Department, "A...My Name is Alice", in the ACHS cafeteria Have a great day, set your clocks back at bedtime, sleep an extra hour in the morning, travel and send us pictures and love one another!
